Originally built in 1984 as a new home for the theatre, Friedrichstadt-Palast replaced the legendary Großes Schauspielhaus — an icon of Berlin’s entertainment scene during the Weimar Republic, which was closed in 1980 for structural reasons and later demolished in 1985. Today Friedrichstadt-Palast continues to attract thousands of visitors with the largest revue productions in Europe, seamlessly blending nostalgia with a spirit of modernity.
As MCA Europe we were responsible for:
• the design, assembly and cabling of rack systems in the main stage amplifier rooms,
• the implementation of an additional in-building communication system,
• the preparation of connection infrastructure for a new video transmission system,
• the programming of the venue’s IT infrastructure.
We are proud to have contributed to the ongoing modernisation of such a remarkable and historically significant theatre.
